Care: All sterling silver will tarnish unless plated with metals like rhodium or gold. Due to sterling silver being a very reactive metal it can tarnish quite quickly especially with body jewellery when being exposed to different chemicals (hairspray shampoo e.c.t), bodily fluids, liquids or moisture if it is humid. This process does darken the metal however what is attractive with sterling silver is that this tarnish can be removed easily bringing the shine back.  A great cleaner for silver piercings is toothpaste or baking soda, this can be rubbed on the jewellery and polished with a cloth it should remove any tarnish.
